What's all the Buzz about ERP and what does it mean?

 

ERP is an acronym for (Campbell's Soup) No its stands for Enterprise Resource Planning. Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software help businesses manage and connect information from all areas of the organization improving decision making.

Now onto the buzz

The use of ERP software promotes visibility and flexibility throughout the entire organization, improving business operations in areas of; inventory management, accounting, order management, human resources, supply chain,  product lifecycle, customer relationship management (CRM). ERP should serve as the focal point for managing all aspects of the business and have an easy user interface to make training simple for most users.
